Terms of Service

Last updated: 12 September 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using OurSpace, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

2. Description of Service

OurSpace is a private household management app designed for couples. It allows two linked users to share calendar events, shopping lists, tasks, meal plans and a library of saved recipes, notes on a shared notice board, bin collection schedules, a household handbook of practical information, and financial information, with optional AI-assisted meal planning and birthday gift suggestions, and an optional connection that lets an AI assistant of your choosing work with your household data on your behalf.

3. Google Calendar Integration

OurSpace optionally integrates with Google Calendar via OAuth 2.0. By connecting your Google account, you grant OurSpace read-only access to your calendar events solely for the purpose of displaying them within the app. We do not store, sell, or share your Google data with any third parties. You may disconnect your Google account at any time from the Settings page.

4. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. You agree to use OurSpace only for lawful purposes.

5. Data Sharing

Data you enter into OurSpace (tasks, shopping lists, meal plans, saved recipes, notice-board posts, bin schedules, handbook entries, financial accounts, calendar events) is shared with your linked partner within the app. When you pin a link to the notice board, our server fetches that page to build a preview card. Please only add information you are comfortable sharing with your partner.

The Household Handbook lets you create guest links. Anyone who has a guest link can view the handbook entries you have marked as shareable, and your bin days, without an account. You are responsible for who you give a link to, for choosing what to mark as shareable, and for switching links off when they are no longer needed. We are not responsible for any loss arising from a link being shared beyond the person you gave it to.

6. AI-Generated Content

OurSpace can suggest meal plans, recipes, side dishes, cooking instructions, and gift ideas using AI. AI output can be wrong or incomplete. You are responsible for checking recipes and ingredients for allergens, dietary suitability, and food safety before relying on them, including recipes you save to your library and reuse later.

7. Connected AI Assistants

OurSpace can be connected to an AI assistant such as Claude, ChatGPT or Mistral’s Le Chat through its MCP server. This is optional and stays off until you set it up. To connect one you sign in and approve the access on the OurSpace consent page, after which that assistant acts with your account’s permissions.

A connected assistant can create, change and delete your household records, not only read them, and AI output and AI actions can be wrong. You are responsible for which assistant you connect, for what you ask it to do, and for checking the results. We are not liable for records an assistant changes or deletes, for anything it gets wrong, or for what its provider does with data it receives, which is a matter between you and the provider whose terms you accepted. Please do not connect an assistant to an account holding information you would not be willing to send to that provider. Section 7 of our Privacy Policy sets out what a connected assistant can reach, and how to disconnect one.

8. Limitation of Liability

OurSpace is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the app.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

10. Contact

If you have any questions about these Terms, please contact us through the app.
